I am so excited to share this collection of images with you all. I knew it from the moment Samantha scheduled her family session with me that these were going to turn out so precious. She has such a positive vibe that radiates off of her and it is contagious! The moment she hopped out of her vehicle the first thing she did was come and give me the biggest, tightest hug that I seriously made my whole day. If you know me, you’ll know I’m a hugger. (Love you Samantha!)
Then her sweet daughter said she thought I was a YouTuber which is a huge compliment coming from a child so, thank you Ella! But when you all scroll down and see her portraits , you’re going to think SHE is the Youtube because girl has class! Like seriously, just wait.
I adore this little family so much! To go along with their session is a little interview that I did with Samantha and Caleb. I love to have a little piece of my client’s stories to go along with their images. Thank you Samantha, Caleb, & Ella for being amazing and allowing me to help you document these sweet moments!
1. If you had to describe your family in 3 words what would they be?
Fun, unique, loving
2. If your family had a theme song, what song would that be?
Shake the frost- Tyler Childers
3. What are some of the things your family and you enjoy to do during the summer?
SWIMMING, fishing, camping when we can, visiting friends and family.
4. How has Covid effected you guys?
We haven’t been able to go and do as much as we have in past summers. Ella misses her friends and going to places like the movies and the park as most have been closed. Other than that we have been continuing to go to work and live normally.
5. You were a single mother for a while, do you have any tips you would like to give to other single mom's out there?
Don’t give up hope. Times get hard sometimes and you may feel like you’re drowning. Finding a support system (whether that be your family or friends) can help tremendously. With my tribe there is nothing Me and Ella couldn’t accomplish.
6. What is something you cherish about your daughter?
Ella is the most spunky and outgoing child I’ve ever met. Her personality is all her own and she doesn’t change for anyone. She is always brings the party.
7. How did Caleb and you meet?
Caleb and I met at our middles schools “after school reading program”. And we stayed friends for years after that before ever falling in love.
8. What is something you enjoy to do together as a couple?
Eat good food, go exploring, spend time with family and friends and indulge in each others favorite past times.
(Side Note: During the session I asked Caleb to whisper sweet nothings into Samantha’s ear and she was whispering “Pasta salad” and other foods they love and it was in the moment I knew they were perfect for each other lol. I mean.. come on food is life! Am I right?)
9. What is your favorite thing about Caleb?
His goofy sense of humor and his ability to always make me laugh.
What is his favorite thing about you?
“You’re sense of humor for sure”
10. Let's talk photography, obviously! How has things been going this year?
I just started a new leap into photography in January of this year. It was going very well January and February. When March hit there was a worldwide stand still and it was pretty disheartening after building up so much excitement for 2020. I am slowly getting on track and getting back to where I was before as of today!

11. How would you describe your photography style?
I would describe my style as emotional and deep. I do promoted lifestyle photography. Portraits, family and couples are my favorites to shoot.
12. What are some of your 2021 photography goals? I ask for 2021 because this year has been so unpredictable.
By 2021 I would love to have more consistent business and be 100% in just doing my style of images. I would also love to be able to give more time to my passion.
13. You said Caleb has enjoyed doing photography as well, what is his style like or what are the type of sessions he enjoys the most?
I like street photography and landscape the most. I like capturing things in natural environments and I am not so much into like sessions and portraits unless they’re candid
14. Anything you'd like to add to this is welcomed
❤ As a family unit we are very unconventional but it works for us. We have had a couple rough patches through out our relationship but we wouldn’t change anything to have what we do now. Caleb is amazing with Ella and she loves him and his entire family. They have gained such an important bond that I never expected. I cherish every moment we get to spend as a family. They both are so supportive of all my passions and things I strive for in life. - Samantha
You know we may not always see eye to eye and our history is a little rough, but I’ve never been so sure at wanting to do life with any one else - Caleb
