Victoria & Eli | Kentucky Engagement Photographers | Tay & Indy Weddings

Taylor & I drove to Albany, Kentucky last Wednesday evening to meet with Victoria and Eli for their engagement session. I have been counting down the days until we were able to meet with them and capture these moments for them both. And can we talk about how beautiful the drive from Nancy towards Albany is. I absolutely love driving through Monticello and viewing those big rolling Kentucky hills. It will take your breath away. We both get so excited when we have to travel through Monticello!

Eli and Victoria’s love for one another radiates through out their photographs. I am so excited to show you all the photographs Taylor and I captured for them. We had so much fun getting to know them both better and the location was only 5 minutes from their home, and ya’ll….. you can see by the images just how gorgeous this place is! We fell in LOVE!!

To go along with some of my favorite photos from their session, I have attached a little interview that I did with Victoria, to help tell their love story along with this gallery. I absolutely adore the two of them and you can just feel that connection and pure love that they have for one another when you are around them. Taylor and I couldn’t be more excited to photographer their big day in September this year! It will be here before we know it.

A huge thank you to Victoria and Eli for choosing Tay & Indy Weddings, for putting up with our silliness during our shoot, and for being absolutely wonderful. We love you guys!

1. How did Eli & You first meet?

We met through social media, but we both knew of each other because we grew up in the same subdivision. I later moved but obviously I remembered him so we started talking & it just blossomed from there!

2. What were your thoughts about each other during those fresh moments together?

My first thoughts of him were that he was absolutely hilarious. The first night we met, I laughed the entire night, nonstop. It was such a refreshing feeling for someone to effortlessly make you feel carefree & laugh like you’ve never laughed before. He still keeps me laughing todaywith the things he does & says!
-My first moments with her I realized she had a terrific smile & I wanted to see it for the rest of my life. I love her laugh, combined with her smile, so it’s a definite plus that she thinks I’m funny. The first night I was so nervous because I didn’t wanna mess it up, but I must’ve done something right because here we are!!

3. How did you know that he was the one. What about him?

I knew he was the one from that first night we hung out together. How effortless it was for me to be comfortable around him, I’ve truly always been myself with him. Not to mention how nice & respectful he is & has been since the moment we started talking. He’s also such a hard worker, I knew I had the best around!! It was just something about him that had me hooked from that first night 🥰
-I knew she was the one when she talked about her future & her eyes lit up. She has such passion & drive & I knew that’s the kind of woman I needed to keep me in line for the rest of my life. & not to mention how much my nephews absolutely adored her (& still think there’s nothing like aunt TorTor). I knew I wanted to marry her from that first night & ive never looked back. ❤️

4. How did he purpose? What did you feel in that moment?

He proposed at his house, just the 2 of us. He actually had planned to do it later & in a more elaborate way, but he said he couldn’t wait any longer & he felt the timing was right. It was perfect regardless & I couldn’t have been happier.

5. What are you most excited about getting married?

We are both excited to get married because we can’t wait to see what the future holds together. We are absolute best friends & can’t wait to take on life’s adventures as a married couple!

6. What has been the biggest challenge with Wedding Planning so far? Any Tips you might have for future brides with planning

The biggest challenge with wedding planning has been trying to get it done through school. Wedding planning through nursing school was hard in itself, then covid-19 put a dent in the plans for a while & everything was up in the air, so I still have so much planning to do! Lol. My advice for future brides would be to keep it simple, but make it how you’ve always dreamed of, & do not procrastinate at all!!! Get as much done as you can early on & then you can relax closer to the date!

7. Where do you all plan on going on your honey moon?

We are going to Destin, Florida for our honeymoon, leaving the night of the wedding for a week! I’ve never been to Destin but he has, so I’m very excited to check it out. We are both water people, our happy place is by any body of water, so what better place than the beach to celebrate your wedding!

8. What is a big goal you both have for your first year of marriage together.

First year of marriage goal is to build up savings as much as we can & purchase our first home together! Either purchase or start building, we haven’t really decided yet. We currently rent & cant wait to have a place to call all ours 🥰  we have so many big plans, the house is just a start!
