Kentucky Engagement Photographer | Kaitlyn + Travis | Pinnacle of Berea, Kentucky
A few weeks ago I was sitting down in Baxter’s Coffee Shop with my girl, Taylor Reynolds, discussing some creative ideas that we would love to add to our businesses. Let me say this, having a close friend who not only understands your crazy obsession for Photography but also shares a strong bond with God is something truly amazing. I have been following along Taylor’s journey for over a year now but within just the past few months, we finally have connected and I truly feel God’s pull in our newly found friendship.
Since then we have shot a wedding together, which was so much fun. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love working with my husband and watching him dig deep into his creative side and loving weddings as much as I do, but ya’ll there was something powerful when Taylor and I got to work together. I don’t know if it was just me or what but I felt so fueled by her creativity and her upbeat energy. I just knew in that moment that God put us together for a reason. Whether that reason is to help each other along our creative journeys or maybe even for a reason we don’t know of yet, either way I am thankful. Your going to see a lot more of us together, just so you know!
Anyways, one of Taylor and I’s ideas came together for putting together a model call for an adventurous couple session. We both love nature and hiking and also have really been wanting to capture some beautiful images with a gorgeous scenic overview. The Pinnacles of Berea has been on my bucket list for months now and finally after we posted our announcement, Kaitlyn shared her interest. Taylor and I slightly fangirled for a moment, because Kaitlyn is also a fellow photographer (View her work here ) and her work is absolutely stunning! Travis and her were the perfect couple to help us create this certain look we were both wanting.
The hike to the Pinnacles was not easy, just a warning to everyone who has yet to be there. We took the steepest yet shortest trail towards the East Pinnacle and the view was absolutely breathtaking. I had mentioned to Taylor that the hike was a perfect represetation of Christianity. The path way towards the top was not easy and even though we had to stop and take a break a few times, once we arrived at the top it was all worth it. It was worth the struggles to witness the beauty at the top of that journey.
Kaitlyn and Travis….. their connection and love for one another radiated all around them. It was such a strong force to witness and there is just something special about seeing a couple madly in love with one another. It truly shows throughout their images and I think that is one of the reasons why these are some of my all time favorites images that I have been blessed to capture, the authentic love is powerful and so moving. Kaitlyn and Travis truly have an one of a kind love. Wow, what an honor it was to capture these moments for them both.
I am going to stop rambling and show you all these images I keep talking about! Thank you to Taylor Reynolds for almost dying on that trail with me and for being so supportive and loving. Thank you to Kaitlyn and Travis for your willingness for hiking with us, for posing and doing anything we asked of you both, and for being such kind souls. I am so incredibly happy for you two. And of course, thank you to God, for creating such an amazing masterpiece to had the opportunity to witness. I feel incredibly blessed.
